Apple unveiled its brand new phones, the iPhone 17 series. That's updates to three known models and the brand-new iPhone 17 Air, that takes the place of the iPhone Plus. If lining up in a queue on release day isn’t really your style, and you still want to get your hands on one as soon as possible, you'll be able to place a pre-order for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro or iPhone Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, in advance of the September 19th release date.

The iPhone 17 boasts a new design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and thinner borders. And after a long wait (and a ton of grumbling), the base iPhone finally features a 120Hz refresh rate.

Internally, the new A19 chip is quicker and also more efficient, especially when teamed up with Apple Intelligence. If you are upgrading from an older iPhone, you'll notice a significant increase in speed and smoother gaming thanks to ProMotion.

The iPhone 17 Air is set to come in four shades: black, white, light gold and sky blue.
